APPS

Tools I’m creating.

Ten small apps solving the kind of everyday problems that quietly persist because no one bothers to fix them. Two are live. The rest are on the way.

ParkSmart

Translates UK parking signs into plain English

iOS · Android
Local & Practical · Navigation · Utilities

UK parking signs are needlessly complicated. Restrictions stack on top of each other, times overlap, exceptions apply on days that aren't listed. Most people read them, feel uncertain, and either park anyway or move on. Neither is a good outcome.

ParkSmart solves it with the camera. Point it at any sign and the app cross-references what it sees against a central database of UK parking regulations — returning a single clear instruction: where you can park, for how long, and when the rules change.

Features — Sign scanner with instant plain English result — Parking timer so you know exactly when you need to be back — Location save so you can find your car again — Works across all UK standard parking sign formats

Bin Day

Decodes your council collection schedule instantly

iOS · Android
Local & Practical · Utilities

Council collection schedules are genuinely difficult to follow. Different bins on different weeks, changes over bank holidays, no clear answer when you miss one. Take a photo of your collection notice and get a straight answer: what goes out, when, and what to do if you've missed it.

The camera does the work. The app cross-references what it sees against your local council's collection rules — returning a single clear instruction with no digging through council websites required.

Features — Photo scan of any council collection notice — Instant plain English result — Next collection date and what's going out — Missed collection guidance
